The Promenade - On Tuesday, students laid down in half-hour shifts across the promenade near Hackman Hall and the Student Center symbolizing the thousands of Sudanese dying in the Darfur genocide in Africa. The "die-in," as it has been called, was organized by a group of university students to promote awareness of the mass killings taking place in Sudan over the past four years. These students hope to win support for relief and lobbying efforts in the future and heightening awareness in such a simple yet provocative way seemed like a good first step. One wonders if Darfur champion Eric Reeves would be proud. Other students walking to and from classes expressed mixed emotions concerning the display. What do you think? www.savedarfur.com

This idea is very creative. Did you participate? Is that at Southern? Sorry if my freak-ish blog reading habits worried you. I enjoy your posts though...
Yes, I did participate. It was the most relaxing part of my day, just lying there thinking and praying. It was at Southern on the main walkway between classes. As far as your freak-ish blog reading habits go, I'm not too worried. Thanks for reading. Come and visit anytime. Thanks for taking care of Shelli. ;)
