Go On
Struggle
She paces,
With a murmur, a sigh.
Tennis shoe laces
pulled loose and untied
Breathe deep
and abide
with the whole world beside
waiting,
clamoring,
fit to be tied
again.
Again
Begin
Again

In the course of the last lunar cycle, my life has been full of rich friendship.
Borrowing cars and riding bicycles,
Sleeping next to each other, remembering and reminding ourselves of the dreams,
Hiking Half Dome, Stone Mountain, and the biology trails,
Making music, pizza dough, and banana muffins,
Speaking, asking, listening, and most of all wondering...
Tonight, Felicia came into my room, sprawled on my bed, and talked with me for over two hours, neither of us noticing the passing time. This poem is for her and her quest and mine.
When a story or idea is just shy of being fully shared, one of my new friends who seems like an old friend (Brad Eliot) says, "Go on."
There are a lot of stories and ideas...
"Go on."
Again.
"Go on."
